Before You Arrive

Where should we stay?

We recommend staying at our host resort, Secrets Bahía Mita Surf & Spa Resort (adults-only) or Dreams Bahía Mita Surf & Spa Resort (family-friendly). Staying on property allows for the easiest access to all wedding events.

Is it required to stay at the resort?

While not required, we strongly encourage guests to stay at the resort for convenience and to fully enjoy the weekend’s events.

How do we book travel and accommodations?

All travel and accommodations are coordinated through our travel partner, Destify.

A deposit of $150/person secures your reservation. Final payment is due 65 days prior to travel.

Which airport should we fly into?

Please fly into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), which is approximately 40 minutes from the resort.

What is the attire for the Traditional Ceremony?

African attire is encouraged. Guests are also welcome to wear formal attire if preferred. Additional details and coordination will be shared in advance.

What is the attire for the Wedding Ceremony?

Beach Formal: think elevated, elegant attire suitable for a coastal setting.
Examples include:
- Light suits, linen, or breathable fabrics
- Flowing dresses, heels or dressy sandals

Do I need to attend every event?

No—many events throughout the weekend are optional. We invite you to join what feels right for you.

Are any events limited or by invitation only?

Yes, select gatherings are intentionally intimate and may be limited to specific guests.
Details will be shared where applicable.

Can I bring my children?

Children are warmly welcome to be part of our celebration. To allow for a relaxed and elevated evening experience, the cocktail hour and reception will be reserved for adults. For your convenience, the resort offers complimentary childcare from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM each day of your stay.

Will transportation be provided?

Airport transportation to and from Secrets and Dreams Bahía Mita can be arranged during the hotel booking process through Destify.
